Terms of Use
These terms apply to the Solve To Play app (“the App”) provided by CPE Vermögensverwaltungs GmbH, Straße der Jugend 18, 14974 Ludwigsfelde, Germany (“we”, “us”).
1. License
The App is licensed, not sold, to you under Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (“Standard EULA”). These terms add to the Standard EULA. If they conflict, the Standard EULA takes precedence for the license itself.
You may use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service, including Family Sharing.
2. What the App does
The App lets a parent or guardian lock selected apps, categories and websites on a child’s device. The child unlocks them for a set time by solving tasks. The App uses Apple’s Screen Time frameworks. Blocking is carried out by iOS; its availability and behavior depend on Apple and on the device settings.
The App is a tool that supports parents. It does not replace parental supervision. We do not guarantee that it prevents every way of using a device or app, for example after changes by Apple to iOS.
3. Who sets it up
The App must be set up by a parent or legal guardian with a child Apple Account in Family Sharing. You are responsible for the settings you choose and for keeping the parent PIN secret.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
The App offers:
- Solve To Play Yearly: an auto-renewing subscription with a 1-year term, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
- Solve To Play Lifetime: a one-time purchase that unlocks the App permanently.
Prices are shown in the App before purchase and may vary by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. For the free trial, the first payment is charged when the trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase. Deleting the App does not cancel it.
- Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription or the lifetime purchase.
- Both purchases can be shared with your family through Family Sharing.
Purchases are processed by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. This does not affect your statutory rights.
5. Right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU
Your purchase contract is concluded with Apple. Withdrawal and refunds are therefore governed by Apple’s terms, which include a 14-day right of withdrawal for consumers in the EU and UK.
6. Acceptable use
You may not copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the App, except where the law allows this.
7. Privacy
The App collects no personal data. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
8. Warranty
Statutory warranty rights apply. We may update the App to fix errors, keep it compatible with new iOS versions or improve it.
9. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act.
For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation (an obligation whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible and on which you may regularly rely), limited to the damage that is typical and foreseeable for this kind of contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms if the App or the law changes. We will announce material changes in the App or on this website. The current version is always available here.
11. Law and jurisdiction
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you normally live.
