Setup
- Install Solve To Play on your kid’s iPhone or iPad (iOS 18 or later). The device must be signed in with a child Apple Account in your Family Sharing group.
- Open the app and confirm Screen Time access with your own Apple Account.
- Choose a 4-digit parent PIN.
- Pick the apps, categories and websites that should need tasks first.
- Allow notifications. They open the tasks when your kid taps “Solve tasks” on a locked app.
Common questions
The block screen appears, but tapping the button does nothing. iOS does not let the block screen open another app directly, so Solve To Play sends a notification instead. Check that notifications are allowed in Settings → Notifications → Solve To Play, then tap the notification.
I forgot the parent PIN. Email us. For security we cannot see or reset your PIN remotely; deleting and reinstalling the app (which needs your Apple Account approval) resets it along with all settings.
How do I change the rules? Open the app, tap “Parent settings” and enter your PIN.
How do I cancel the subscription? In the Settings app, tap your name → Subscriptions → Solve To Play. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Apple’s guide: Cancel a subscription from Apple.
How do I get a refund? Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I bought it before. How do I restore my purchase? Sign in with the same Apple Account, open the paywall and tap “Restore purchases”. With Family Sharing, family members get the purchase automatically.
How do I remove all data? Delete the app. All settings and progress are stored only on the device and are removed with it. We do not store any data about you or your kid.
